THE LIFT is the story of one man’s life, and of all the people he has loved. It is about finding hope when there appears to be none. ED is on the way to visit his terminally ill daughter. In the hospital lift, as he travels upwards, passengers come and go. Each of them brings to mind a loved one who has left him. He will soon lose his daughter too. By the time he reaches the top floor, he must make a decision: whether to stay and be strong or to end it all. What will it be?
